"Its very clear that this people have been more than adequately compensated for what they have accomplished over the last 3 yrs. Even if the permit is granted they stand to make more money than most of the long suffering retails here."
That is of course an opinion that some here hold.
I do not agree and voted YES on all the shares that I hold and control through power of attorney, which is nowhere near Tradewinds, but a good chunk nonetheless.
Much of this managemet kicking is coming from understandable frustration -- I'm guessing that when we do get the permit many will be much happier with management. Sure, I'm frustrated, but with Hugo not management. I bought another 50k shares this week, not much, but I still think that things will work out well.
"Another thing that annoys me - what is this "special" mtg costing us. Likely at least $250,000 that we don't need to waste right now. This couldn't wait for the AGM?"
This is a valid point, you should ask RM. My thought is that they were out of shares to compensate the board and would have to use cash without the additional authorization. It does seem a waste of $$ for a special meeting though. Perhaps they should have thought ahead at the time of the last AGM?
This has got to be one of the more divisive issues that I've seen here in a long time, but the board has done a great job of keeping the discussion civil, a far cry from some of those other toilets, er ah stock boards. A good weekend to all!
