Ciudad Bolivar, Nov 03. ABN .- The authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran have included the state Venezuelan Bolivar among the regions that can be benefited from investment in that nation in the area of non-metallic mining, informed the president of the Autonomous Institute of Mining of Bolivar state (IAMIB ), Armando John Madero.

The official explained that an Iranian delegation, comprising representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Minerals in that country, she visited the state of Bolivar to hear about the projects of extraction and processing of non-metallic minerals that are run with private investment and in this public entity.

Among the issues that aroused great interest among Iranians is that Bolivar has the continent's best deposits of granite to use high-quality decorative as well as a vast reserve of minerals for construction such as limestone and kaolin, among others, "he said.

On the granite, Madero explained that much of the granite of high quality which for years has been imported from Spain and Italy 'is actually granite Guayana, which at the lack of formal policies to give added value in Venezuela, was in the rough out to be processed and resold to the Venezuelan people at very high prices per ton.

He stressed that during the administration of Governor Francisco Rangel Gomez, and with the support of the Bolivarian government, it has rearranged the field of non-metallic mining throughout the state of Bolivar, reviewing the old concessions and charging taxes for companies that profited while anything to the Venezuelans.

Similarly, he noted that it has promoted the establishment of companies that processed locally this type of material, thus preventing the leakage of raw material and generating new sources of employment in an industry boom, as is construction.

'We have an interest in Iran will join this initiative to create an industrial-based raw materials for construction, because we know that they have advanced technology and many years of experience in the field, "said Armando John Madero.

He noted that thanks to the cooperation agreements signed between the governments of Iran and Venezuela, there are good chances of their occurrence agreements in 2009 and stressed that currently the Iranian drive to build a cement plant in the neighboring state of Monagas.

'In Bolivar have deposits of all types of materials that can also be of interest to them, and the idea is that any project that is run with the Iranians, will from the beginning the transfer of technology to Venezuelan hands, "he said.

He stressed that with this transfer, it is possible that a few years in Venezuela could be independent in the supply of processed raw materials for construction, which would support government plans to cover the housing deficit inherited from previous governments.
