just watched a "history channel" special that featured "Nero" .....you know...from Rome!....reminded me a lot of hugo......

Nero would hold lonnnggg spectacles of himself playing instrument or "entertaining".......to the point where people would fake childbirth/etc to escape the ongoing agony of being an audience member....

to make a long story not so long..nero basically showed total disinterest in his constituates concerns..........
