Econoanalítica: 65.9% of Venezuelans
would not approve amendment

According Ecoanalítica Public Opinion, 65.9 percent of Venezuelans would not approve the claim by President Chavez to seek re-elected indefinitely, via constitutional amendment.

To the question whether President Chavez proposed a constitutional amendment to be reelected again: you. would support the amendment or reject? 65.9% of Venezuelans who answered the refuse and 31.1% responded that they are willing to support such an amendment.

When the answer is discriminated between chavistas and opponents, the conclusion Ecoanalítica thrown by the Public Opinion is divided on Chavez appeared significantly versus the possibility of supporting the continuity of the project through a constitutional amendment that guarantees re-election indefinitely.

Nearly 20% of which were themselves as chavistas say that would reject the amendment and 80% would support it.

Who favors the numbers?

In the latest poll conducted by Public Opinion Ecoanalítica in five major cities in Venezuela in late September, with a total of 1,200 people surveyed, 66% replied that it would not agree to the amendment while 31% would support it. Among those who were themselves as chavistas, 18% said they do not like the idea while 82% accepted the proposition.

The study covers cities such as the Great Caracas, Maracay, Valencia, Maracaibo, San Cristobal, Puerto La Cruz and Barcelona. The respondents are aged over 18 and under 65 years old, of both genders and from all socioeconomic strata.
