I don't think there will many immediate jobs created for the miners but there will be employment of trades that will build the mine. If Hugo doesn't make sure they announce the permit for LC during this election I think we may be in trouble.

It would be easy for Hugo to make the case that he must be granted an extension to his limit in office to fight transnational companies who want to control natural resources that belong to the people of VZ. He is currently fighting with oil companies and now with the company that wants to mine the largest gold project in VZ.

I don't see it happening this way but then again I would never have imagined we wouldn't have the permit by now either.
