Very good find!

I'm sure some will try and spin the paragraph

"It stressed that the Mibam wishes to stimulate the reconversion of the miners to other activities, because the auriferous and diamantífera mining totally is prohibited by law in the river basin of the Caroní river, where 70% of all the fresh water reserves of the country are concentrated."

as bad news but it isn't. Sanz is referring to small scale illegal mining not permitted companies. I know we're not permitted yet but we do know that LC falls in the area that was approved for mining.

These 2 articles by Sanz about mining could have mention taking LC away from Kry but nothing was said. Sanz explanation of the events surrounding the payment to miners lays the blame on miscommunication, media and people claiming to be miners who either aren't or haven't proven it to Mibam. I don't think it is unreasonable to assume people will try to get something for free. It happens all around the world so no surprise it occurred in VZ with the poverty.

I'm starting to get a real good feeling about things again.
