Actually, I've been wondering something the same. I wonder if Goldfields, see the light at the end of the tunnel, is working with Rusoro, and when Rusoro's bid falls through, and they will have gotten a lot of shares cheap, they will up the affer with GFI in the background, or maybe even side by side. Things have changed since they sold to Rusoro, and maybe that's why they kept such a big piece of the pie? Who knows, but as many have said, we should know soon.
