Dear Journalists,

Chavez's forces are attacking students at Universidad de los Andes in Merida. Students are phoning, an e-mailing from inside the campus asking for help, and to let everyone know what is taking place.

Noticias24 has the following report:

In the meantime in Caracas, university students who delivered a document to City Hall were attacked by Chavez's supporters with molotov bombs, and tear gas.

Similarly, another molotov bomb was thrown at the residence of Marcel Granier who is the owner of Radio Caracas Television.

Chavez's official threatened journalist and was caught on tape. The journalist is denouncing the threat as she was told by Chavez's official to stop reporting about another official or she will see ....

You may recall the another infamous Chavez's official when she physically attacked another journalist on live TV:

Hummm, perhaps there is too much use of coca leaves.

It seems that the attackers are acting on behalf of Chavez's orders.

Venezuelans need help from developed governments and international organizations to restore democracy and end corruption.
