If I understand you correctly, what you are seeing at the end of the day is pretty much normal and happens with all of the listed stocks in NYSE/AMEX.

At close, right at 4pm, all regular day trade bids/asks are pulled and whatever is left stays. That is, the bid-ask goes into after-hours mode.

The large spread, or difference between bid/ask, is why it is generally recommended to not do after-hours trading.
