Sorry there is no good English translation, and that is one of the problems with news out of Venezuela. Having read it and discussed it with several bicultural friends, we came to the conclusion that I stated about what it said. You have to understand that there is a lot of meaning in the way things are stated and the literal translation is not necessarily the meaning.

Here is a simple example to illustrate: gato viejo raton tierno. Translate that in whatever and you will get something about old cats and tender mice, when what it really means to one that understands is that old guys like young girls. So the literal words are not always accurate. You need to take into account the context and the sublties to understand the intended meaning.

Now layer on top of that the way Hugo shoots his mouth off and says things that he doesn't mean and you will get my point: what he actually said in that very long address, which only touched on LC briefly, and you will see how I came to my conclusion.
