GN La Camorra evicted miners and their equipment kept
Wednesday, 18 February 2009
The hundreds of miners working the gold Relave of material waste, La
Camorra, El Dorado, a former award of the American company Hecla in
Venezuela, were again intercepted by a squad of National Guard
prisons 50 engines and other equipment, said the leader of El Dorado
mining, Aldrin Torres, who added that when the gate of the company to
claim back the equipment, by gunpoint was a master of that military
force.
-We arrived at the gate. I was accompanied by a group of miners,
owners of the equipment held. We speak with the captain Rojas. We ask
that you return the equipment, because the miners were working waste
material that is the Venezuelan State and had not committed any
crime, because in addition, the material they were working outside
the area of the plant, which is paralyzed. The answer that the
captain had said that Torres was pulled out the gun regulations and I
placed it on his head, telling me that I was going to shoot. He
ordered the guards who accompanied him, I stopped and I was
handcuffed, did not obey that order because they saw that it was an
abuse that was committed and that the miners who were accompanying
me, surrounding me are on defense. I think the staff has developed an
attitude typical of a psychopaths.
He added that the witness went to the command of Detachment 85 of the
National Guard Tumeremo, where he made contact with the greatest
Diaz, who does not want to receive the complaint which was written,
arguing that the group of miners are invading. We are aware that
leaving the National Guard, when holding teams, not the act of
writing as is customary in such cases.
The award is now the State
Aldrin Torres contends that the award where the group of mining
tailings material is of the Venezuelan State.
-The miners of the Camorra, says work-called moonlighting, a material
that was thrown as waste. First there was evictions on the grounds
that the material was contaminated and could ill miners. Now the
argument is another, and no pollution, but the material is a
concession. Must be made clear that the miners are not committing
ecological damage because if any, were committed by the dealership
that was there.
Responsible for working illegally plant
Aldrin Torres made another point that he considered irregular. Said:
- The floor of the former concession was Hecla, is paralyzed. There
are several officials of the National Mining Company, a company of
the Venezuelan State. Four technicians are responsible for
safeguarding the assets, but these officials are processing the
material Relave drawing weekly between 50 and 100 kilos of gold,
which we do not know where it is going. We understand that the goods
they were Hecla, went to the Russian-Venezuelan company called
Venrusca, but everything is pending. For now, the assets are of the
National Mining Company.
He said the waste material to recover the miners, which is the same
as those involved in the processing plant with about 86 people, has a
meaning greater than 30 grams of gold per ton, which is a high
performance. ISIC.
