With the opening of the Transfer Taiguaiguai-Tucutunemo in the state of Aragua Zamora Municipality (north-central region of Venezuela), the Venezuelan head of state took this Sunday, 1 March the transmission of its broadcast program, Hello President, in his edition 325.
This is a hydraulic project which aims at increasing the availability of water in a neighboring basin, in other words, a jet of water is directed primarily for human consumption and irrigation systems.
The president is accompanied by Minister of People's Power for Environment, Ortega Yubirí and Aragua state governor, Rafael Isea, among others.
The system inaugurated President Chavez, the first of March, will supply water through a pipe 60 inches to over six miles up the river Tucutunemo, which will benefit farmers in the area, which until now had been little resource.
With the transfer Taiguaiguai-Tucutunemo be diverted to treatment plants sewage before it flows into Lake Valencia (located between the states of Aragua and Carabobo), whose level was kept controlled to prevent flooding.
The project will also benefit farming communities of the southern state of Guarico.
