Purchase of Banco de Venezuela was postponed this year
03:22 PM Caracas .- The Government postponed andalusia least this year the nationalization of Banco de Venezuela, Banco Santander's local unit, while the country suffers a drop in oil revenues, government sources said on Wednesday, and the entity.

President Hugo Chávez announced the purchase in 2008 of Banco de Venezuela, one of the largest in the country.

"No, I do not think we can definitely this year (buying the bank) and (...) spoke with them," he told Reuters a high-ranking official.

A source confirmed the information from the bank.

Other announcements nationalization Chávez, as the largest steel of the Andean region, Ternium Sidor, or the Mexican cement company Cemex, has not yet been specified.
