Authorities discussed details of the development plan for La Paragua
Ciudad Bolivar, Mar. 19 ABN .- Representatives of the governor of Bolivar, in conjunction with the municipality's mayor Raúl Leoni and various bodies of social promotion and production of Venezuelan state, started talks to define a development plan that will boost the economy and public services in the area of La Paragua.
So informed the mayor of the municipality Raúl Leoni, Yusleiby Ramirez, his departure from a reunion with spokesmen of these institutions in which they discussed the methodology to implement the national government project that seeks to build a hub for social, industrial and agricultural between Ciudad Guayana, Ciudad Bolivar, Ciudad Piar, La Paragua and San Salvador de Paul.
He recalled that this route was announced by President Hugo Chávez Frías, during the beginnings of the movement of land from the new National Steel, promoted by the Ministry of People's Power for Basic Industry and Mining (Mibam) with European companies Brazilian production and nearly one million 500 thousand tons of automobile steel alloy per year.
Mayor Ramirez noted that this project joins other initiatives to be implemented in ferrosiderúrgicas Ciudad Piar, so the Head of State ordered the creation of a hub of social, agricultural, tourist and urban areas to provide support for these new industries.
'This plan included key players such as indigenous communities in the area, which have the ability to participate in tourism projects artisanal miners joining organizations that have moved their business into tourism, transportation to and from the food services 'he added.
He noted further that the reunion was the request of indigenous communities to create an ethnological museum displaying the culture of these peoples from their location in the area of Guyana before the invasion of the Spaniards to America.
'By contributing to the mayor with a plan to rebuild the historic center of La Paragua, with an investment of 913 thousand bolívares strong, "he added.
Also noted that the state government was committed to strengthening the training of community nurseries linked to the Mission Tree, to engage children in public schools in the area in the recovery process of the land affected by Illegal mining is practiced for decades in the area.
In tourism, announced the commitment of the authorities to launch the Fair La Paragua and of Pavón. The latter seeks to promote recreational fishing activities and cultural events based on the capture of pavón, a species very abundant in the river waters of the Caroni River and Lake Guri.
He noted that currently executes a plan to improve the roads of La Paragua, and the hospital in preparation for the town, while the Hydro-Bolivar and commune councils are working on several projects for drinking water urban and suburban communities.
"We have settled in the town 123 commune councils and many tourist cooperatives, which work according to our development," he said.
The mayor said that ultimately was a plan for interconnection with the terrestrial Canaima National Park to allow the union between the tourist towns Raúl Leoni and Gran Sabana.
