I was looking through some past Google Alerts I have set for KRY and came across a stock called VAL.V. They have gold concessions near LC (around 100K ounces of gold) and also have huge tracks of land in Vz. They also have gold assets in Ontario.

So, what's their story? It seems they've scaled back their Vz operations to a minimum and are evaluating if they should continue to carry on in Vz. Atleast they have other assets. They are also cash strapped. They've done exploratory drilling and it sounds like they could mine in Vz but no where did I find any info on applications for permits/etc. (Didn't look THAT hard).

So, it seems that we have another Canadian gold miner that is on hold.

How can a country ignore a WHOLE industry like this? I think the other poster is right... Chavez wants Vz to fail.

He's managed to kill the Gold industry and soon he'll kill their oil industry as well.
