Vlada, There are rules and regulation for publicly traded companies reporting material information and lawsuit and liabilities for companies releasing PR only for stock promotional and share price appreciation reasons, companies listed on the TSE needs to comply with strict rules if listed in the US evens more stringent rules, if a company trade on the small cap venture exchange ie. RML then the rules are less stringent depending on their status as tier 1 or tier 2, market cap etc. the same applies to over the counter (otc) traded stock, I personally dislike promotional companies, I think KRY CEO promotions in the past both Bruce and Thomson was base on what they believed to be true, other permits were being issued, bond taxes ect. at times KRY were promotional and rightly so, there was clarity going forward they have a binding contract (still in place) to operate a 18 plus Mil oz mine that's complies with another rule that gives me and most confidence to invest in a mining company National Instrument 43-101, Standards of Disclosure for resource, hey this is a news driven stock, and all who is holding will benefit tremendously from any company PR, material or not, real or embellished, just remember other investors will be making a decision to invest their money bast to the press release, I have been burnt by a company called Southwestern Resource SWG on the TSX the CEO heavy insider buying all the while fraudulently salting core result at their China play, traded my way out to minimize loss after the fact, still many loss much based on the fraudulent PR, 2 days ago I got in the mail a claim form from a class action lawsuit will likely get a few pennies on the dollar for losses.

Its easy to say or command that you want news from the company you are invested in, although BOD member have liability insurance I think when you are awaiting clarity, it would be foolish to sign of on any PR thats not material given the risk, ending on a cynical note, maybe they would have been more motivated if the last stock options had passed, maybe....
