"He's too smart and he has too much leverage\bargaining power given the situation. Vz wants to develop the mine. They must deal with us one way or the other and they MUST deal with us NOW. KRY will never be in a better position to negotiate with Vz than right now...given the looming arbitration deadline. The bondholders will be placated with an alternative better than just getting all or some of their money back as part of the deal soon to be announced (imo)."
