The group Russoro Mining pronounced itself before the expectation generated by the resolution of the Central bank of Venezuela (BCV), in which it is indicated that the auriferous companies must directly sell gold to the institution.

“Our company based the budget of income of this year on the real price of gold sale in the national market, that is to say, the sale price that has the jewelry shops or legally established buyers of gold in the auriferous sector, established in the Mibam and that is supplied to them to acquire it (200 bolivars by gram)”, explained the manager of institutional relations of the company, Julian Villarroel.

He himself added that the companies have established their labor financial commitments on the basis of the budget that they had at first, but with the application of a resolution inconsulta, income in more are being eliminated of a 60%, causing damages in the economic condition of the auriferous ones.

Other damages

The resolution of the BCV generates that the social investments reach zero from the transnational companies located in the south from the state Bolivar, in addition that the limitation of income also affects the injection of money in technological equipment that is vitally important in the industry.

“This resolution published in official newspaper the 30 of April of this year, makes difficult to the commercialization of gold and its alloys”, commented the super intendant of relations with the community, Gilberto Berrío.

Also it said that “one is not which the transnational companies go away of the south of Bolivar, but by the measurement, they must fit the production costs and investment planning, in order that instead of to leave people without use, they can generate more places and invigorate the economy”.

Like group, Russoro Mining promotes more than 30 cooperatives from which many people benefit, but with the resolution many could disappear.

In spite of the impact of the resolution, the company focuses in making specific the denominated project “City of the Ceramics”, which consists of the operation of a mine installed to the south of Anzoátegui and Monagas and will create more than six companies processors of “caulin” transforming it into porcelain, sets of dishes and lines of ceramic.

Some hopes

Due to the existence of good relations with the Government, the representatives of Russoro hope to arrive at a conciliation plan in which all the involved benefit.

“We are already working in abiertos town halls to install work tables and to approach the problem, from the perspective of the affected ones, because the impact that is causing the resolution can stop if all the auriferous ones of the South collaborate”, concluded Berrío. LMC
