Representatives of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in the municipalities in southern BolĂvar state, spoke on Saturday in favor of resolution that makes the sale of 70% gold to the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).

Jesus Manrique, Orlando Gonzalez, Aldrin and Eleazar Torres Malson, all activists of the political organization, called a press conference to deny those who have ensured that the business of gold is no longer attractive, and that the gold sector will enter into crisis.

According to the resolution, the gold-mining companies must sell 70% of its production, on a mandatory basis, the Central Bank of Venezuela and the other 30% may be exported in accordance with the provision.

Aldrin Torres, regional PSUV leader and representative of the political organization in the Piar Municipality, said that the new mechanism for the marketing of gold in Venezuela is plausible and denied that the measure threatens the economic stability of some corporations.

"The business of gold is still quite profitable, what happens is that these companies have committed to play in the parallel foreign exchange markets, but if they did not beneficial to the decision taken by the Central Bank of Venezuela and the Ministry of Finance, then to abandon the concession. "

Torres called for the Government to avoid handing awards to companies without real capital "and to retrieve the Block B of the mining sector in southern Bolivar state. (PMLP)
