JJ....following your line of reasoning...Perhaps the obviously jaundiced new mining law was designed to make a surgical strike at GRZ. Maybe GRZ (behind closed doors) wouldn't consider conversion from concession to MOC...possibly on terms of "joint partnership". GRZ perhaps made it clear they wanted the "whole enchalada" if you will. In order to selectively squash this greedy "non-team player" and in keeping with their stated goal of eliminating all concessions....Vz. passed the new mining law in order to remove any profit making potential from GRZ and force them to get with the program or die a slow legal death. GRZ was already "in compliance" with their "joint venture" arrangement. KRY was already "in compliance" with their MOC. Perhaps the much quoted and possibly misinterpreted "legal problem" that Sanz was quoted as referring to dealt with Las Brisas....not Las Cristinas. Then again....maybe we're just F'd.
