A visit of “exploration” that would leave the doors abiertas for agreements of cooperation between the Chinese and Venezuelan Government, realised east Monday the ambassador of the People's Republic of China in the country, Zhang Tuo, next to two members of the Andean Parliament, with the purpose of to strengthen the bows between the Chinese government and the Caroní municipality.
The mayor Jose Ramon Lopez assured that the visit of the Chinese ambassador looks for to narrow the brotherhood, solidarity and the friendship between the governments.
It assured that in the first trimester of the year the municipal government has focused in road projects, lighting system, improvement in the harvesting of solid remainders, nevertheless, now the task will be to improve the system of public transport, reason why they presented/displayed to the Chinese ambassador and the private sector the project of TransGuayana.
“The project is of 91 million dollars. The ambassador explained to us which are the mechanisms to accede to the resources of the Venezuelan Chinese bottom, that is exclusively of both national governments”.
“The exploratory” visit left a good impression of the city for the ambassador, who does not misestimate the possibility that to medium term several agreements between governments in the region can occur.
“We have also talked on the projects of construction of house, where the People's Republic of China with the Chinese Bottom and the Venezuelan Government is in the allocation 20 thousand houses for the country and hoping the opportunity to accede to those resources”, the mayor said.
Lopez affirmed that the primary target of the visit is the connection, the unification and the unit of the experiences, as well as to listen to the recommendations and steps to follow if it is wanted to accede to the resources of the Chinese Bottom for some plan for the city, nevertheless, clarified that the municipality will have to present/display the projects to the ministers because the agreements must be government to government.
Joint plans
The Chinese ambassador, Zhang Tuo, affirmed in press conference that its visit to the city is first but she will not be the last one, assuring that the doors are open before the possibility of new projects.
In the same way he recognized the work done from the municipality for the city. It assured that China and Venezuela can have a close relationship, because in the zone all type of industries is concentrated.
“We can have a close cooperation, because China needs many things that the state Bolivar and Guayana City can give, we have a complementariness. For example, already we have some projects of cooperation with the factory of pellets, where both governments have reached agreements and the China company is going to execute this project”.
Also it indicated that medium term it sees many potentialities to develop the mining industry and of the iron, because China “needs” the mineral urgently.
The ambassador did not misestimate the possibility of developing projects to promote the tourism of the state.
In agreement with the ambassador, China has everything what the city needs: “any thing that needs Venezuela or state Bolivar or Guayana City, China is prepared to provide because there is that possibility, China has capacity of production of all (...) This is a trip of exploration to look for the opportunities and possibilities of making some type of cooperation”, expressed.
Atmosphere in agenda
The deputy of the Latin American parliament, Rafael Strap, that accompanied to the ambassador in its visit, indicated that the projects which they are handling themselves are local and that could have support of the Chinese Government at some time.
“Our function is to strengthen the bows between governments. (...) the subject of the defense of the atmosphere and the Amazonia interests much to us that is of world-wide magnitude. There are multiple projects of protection and defense of the ecology and the water sources”.
It is possible to emphasize that the People's Republic of China is member of the Latin American parliament for a pair of years.
