As part of its commitment made to the social communities of Las Claritas, municipality Sifontes, last Wednesday the company Crystallex formally inaugurated the plant wastewater treatment.

This work will benefit the residents of Santo Domingo, Golden City and Las Claritas comprising more than four thousand people, most who work or have worked in mining.

The event was headed by Robert Fung, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Crystallex International Corp, Luis Felipe Cottin, president of Venezuela Crytallex, John Madero, president of the Autonomous Institute Bolivar Mine and representatives of the Canadian Embassy in Venezuela.

Andres Brito Engineer explained that this work is linked with a network of sewers constructed previously, about 10 kilometers, and run along the streets. He stressed that a plant is engineered tip and held with local labor, which was involved from beginning to end.

For his part, Robert Fung, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Crystallex International Corp., was very satisfied to see the operational plan and said that the company does not cease to be vigilant but abandoned their operation. Crystallex International is a Canadian mining company that won the contract in 2002 to operate Las Cristinas, which has proven and probable reserves of 14 million ounces of gold. However, the company is awaiting the approval of their operating licenses for gold by the Government.

Ambulatorio Puntica to being put into operation

At the latest by next month will be completing the civil works of the new Health Care Center of Las Claritas, a work also funded by Crystallex and the whole will have an investment of around 17 million bolivares. This ambulance was started in 2007 and have a few thousand square meters of construction, in addition to a house of residence for doctors. Deliveries will have room, operating room, observation room, X-ray room, laboratory, pharmacy and space for 21 beds. In a tour of the site may show that it is fully built and tuned workmen details.
