That's pure speculation, never been confirm, the same Qt KRY had an undisclosed investor GG reported an undisclosed investment of 32 mil. this could be coincidental of not, nobody outside management knows for sure who the mystery investor was, to say GG already invested many millions in KRY would be false.
to my knowledge Barrick has never had any kind of agreement with KRY, Placer Dome which merged with Barrick Gold had a back in agreement with Vanessa Ventures now Infinto Gold when they sold for $50.00 their expired interest in Las Cristinas, Barrick should now hold those right, Peter Munk has stated they have no interest in Venezuela
