Saint Petersburg, Aug. 13 ABN .- The vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Minister of Defense, Ramon Carrizález Rengifo, arrived Thursday in Saint Petersburg, Russia, to attend the Sixth Meeting of the High Level Intergovernmental Commission ( cyan) Russia-Venezuela.

On arrival at the airport Pulkovo 1 Carrizález Rengifo was received by Deputy Prime Minister of the Federation of Russia, Igor Sechin, the deputy governor of Saint Petersburg, Alexey Sergeev, and the Venezuelan minister of People's Power for Energy and Petroleum Rafael Ramirez and for Higher Education, Luis Acuña, who are part of the delegation attending the event bilateral.

After making an offering in the Fallen Heroes Memorial, built to honor the defenders of Leningrad during World War II, Carrizález Rengifo met with his Russian counterpart Igor Sechin, and the Venezuelan minister, Rafael Ramirez, to discuss issues pertaining to agreements and conventions in the energy area remain the two nations.

This Friday is expected to visit the Venezuelan vice president of Piskarevskiy memorial cemetery, where lie the remains of over 500 thousand civilian and military victims who fought during World War II and later will meet with delegations of Venezuela and Russia to finalize details of the agreements to sign.

Scheduled for this Saturday is the act of installing the VI meeting of Cian. The opening and closing speeches will be made by Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Igor Sechin, and his Venezuelan Ramón Carrizález Rengifo.

Also be installed in the working areas of energy, environment, agriculture and land, telecommunications, basic industries and mining, education and public works and housing, to make way for the signing of the agreements, which will continue to strengthen the strategic alliance between Venezuela and Russia.
