I wouldn't describe it as panic -- but there is a real possibility that Hugo, whether he understands it or not, is willing to go down in flames for nothing. We could be in real trouble depending on his mental state...

When you start cutting off TV stations and radio stations because they disagree with you, it raises the stakes.

Hugo is either:

(1) doing a great job bluffing and will eventually be somewhat reasonable

(2) does not care about dealing with the rest of the world and is willing to run the country into the ground before he backs off his failed policies/agenda or

(3) does not comprehend the damage that he is doing.

Or some combo of all three. I have no idea what he is doing but right now he is certainly not acting in the best interests of VZ and does not seem to give a crap about the international loop.

If he completely runs the country into the ground, gets ousted or killed, I don't see how this ends well for us in the near future.

In my opinion, Fung needs to get this done ASAP.
