In order to evaluate and determine the gold reserves found in the mining district of El Callao, Bolívar State, on Tuesday the state company CVG Minerven signed a service agreement for three years with the Cuban company of Geology, Mining and Salt Production Geominsal.
The signing ceremony was led by the president of CVG Minerven, Luis Herrera, general director Geominsal, Ivan Martinez, Vice Minister of Investment Promotion, Ministry of People's Power for Basic Industries and Mining (Mibam), Isabel Delgado.
According to the information provided by the owner of Minerva, Cuban experts will be doing their studies in all the concessions that are under the control of the gold state, comprising about 48 hectares, in order to increase to 11 million ounces are certified today.
"This is part of the Cuba-Venezuela solidarity and has to do with the experience of revolution in that country in the geological area and the study of their resources. Geominsal our natural resources will be evaluated to see what we have, what we to count and how we will manage in the future, "said Herrera.
He noted that the agreement for drilling and evaluation of reserves and minerals should be present with all the rules established to preserve the environment, but felt that the process does not have any involvement.

For its part, the director general of Geominsal, Ivan Martinez, said that within the agreement, Venezuela and Cuba have developed 21 projects in the field of geology.
