If the rich lost money, they must have been honest. Money doesn't disappear, it changes hands...someone wound up with their money, along with everyone elses. Our economy has been systematically trashed and the loot has been shifted to tax free offshore accounts around the world...

And we, (fairly small investors in the overall scheme) are being duped daily by one of the latest innovations, high frequency investing. I'm sure some of you know about this trend, but here's a link for those who don't...
