CVG freezes again by labor demands Minister Sanz
10:45 Caracas .- About 1,200 workers of the Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana in
its various departments on Monday launched a standstill to demand a response
from the Minister of Basic Industries and Mining, Rodolfo Sanz, to overcome
lawsuits on contractual commitments.
Ronald Gonzalez, a union representative of workers payroll of CVG, he explained
that the corporation authorities have alleged lack of resources, which in his
opinion is "a joke".
"We know we have money that we have seen in other areas are given bonuses and
incentives for senior officers," he told Globovision.
At this time protesting workers are awaiting a meeting with Minister Sanz to
present their proposals and receive an official response.
The strike, according to Gonzalez, includes facilities in Ciudad Guayana, Delta
Amacuro, Amazonas, El Palmar, Guasipati and Tumeremo among others.
