I agree that GRZ has said what they are doing, and put a price ( rather exhorbadent) on there claim. However, they have very different claims. Having an MOC that Chavez meant as a model, means a much stronger position than a concession, which VZ has said they are phasing out or buying back.

What is different is that GRZ has filled for arbitration, becasue there are no negotiatioins going on to screw up.

KRY has had an ongoing dialogue with VZ officials. Sure, we don't know who they are talking to, but let us have some faith in Robert Fung, that he would not be relying on talks with junior officials that have no say. As long as we DON'T hear anything BAD, it means that there is still hope that posiitve talks are going on. As I said in one of my other posts, this is not just a simple negotiation between KRY and Minbam. This involves many 'interested' parties, all with some political clout, and a gold deposit that has a long history of nefarious dealings. So as long as we don't get BAD news, and DON"T file for Arbitration, to me this means we are still in the ball game.

Anyway...no more conspiracy theories...just anxiously waiting for the GOOD news. I'd rather NOT be in GRZ's position, where they felt they had no other option.
