05 de octubre de 2009, 08:58Caracas, Oct 5 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela''s CVG Minerven Company announced a social program for gold mining areas in Bolivar State as prices last week reached $1.017 the ounce, one step closer the record $1.030.
The program includes recovering airports and developing health care, housing, services, roads, communications and tourism in Roscio, El Callao and Sifontes Municipalities, at the Guasipati-Kilometro 88 Axis.
Public Relations Director Aldrin Torres said the goal is boosting the sector and profit from rocketing world market prices that along distrust from the US dollar may push prices up to $2.000.
Hence interest to double the 4,25 ton output of 2008 to 8 tons around 2013 by introducing spearhead technology and granting new mining areas to small enterprising.
The package also relies on letters of intent signed with South Africa â"with over 200 ton annual gold output- at the 2nd South America-Africa Summit held in September in Isla Margarita, Venezuela.
