CVG MINERVEN Gold seeks to bring benefits to the community

Caracas, Oct 13 (Prensa Latina) The challenges of the state company CVG
MINERVEN, is bringing the benefits of the projected eight tons of gold this year
(4, 24 in 2008) the development of the municipality of El Callao, 973 miles
southeast of capital.

Prensa Latina asked to respect the president of that entity, Luis Herrera,
how the community could be displayed in increased gold production in the context
of a quote from a few thousand dollars per ounce in the international market.

"That's a point that we began to discuss because these municipalities do not
have the infrastructure capacity to receive the amount of people who come up
here if we increase investment," he said Henry.

In his view "if we open industrial area, these municipalities are not able to
receive a flood of people, therefore, we must make a plan of urbanism."

He said that at present there are ranches in these localities recently
constructed at the emigration by the rising price of gold.

The engineer said "we are proposing a table with all agencies to make a proposal
to President Hugo Chávez." In his opinion "this is a job we have to do ... how
to influence mineral development in the communities."

CVG MINERVEN making efforts to eliminate the social debt accumulated since the
beginning of the exploitation of gold in payment for labor liabilities amounting
to 18 million Bolivars (eight million 385 thousand U.S. dollars).

Herrera also said that "our company is married to the Barrio Adentro health
program (supported by Cuban doctors). Here we build a medical station at the
