Jingles brings up a good point. Bashers aren't the only ones trying to seperate people from their money through obfuscation and disinformation. There are bear raids and bull raids, bashers and pumpers. More people are screwed by pump and dump than by any other market manipulation technique. Instilling artificial confidence and hiding the negatives are the tools of the pumper-dumpers.
To suggest that having a plan to survive and sharing the outline of that plan with shareholders is somehow unusual or to imply that stating clearly that there is a survival plan could somehow provoke VZ or jeopardize discussions is simply absurd.
I have been through BK's and its not pretty. Companies that seem to have so much value simply announce that there is no cash to pay bills and that's it. The common shareholders are last in line while the secured creditors and mgmt walk away with the assets.
If you don't think that could happen here then I want some of whatever it is you're smoking.
