Venezuela and Cuba strengthen productive integration of mining agreements signed

Caracas, December 12 ABN .- The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Cuba on Saturday signed 15 new agreements on mining to strengthen the productive integration between the two Latin American nations.
This was announced by Minister of People's Power for Basic Industries and Mining Minister Rodolfo Sanz from the city of Havana where he conducted the meetings of the Joint Commission Cuba-Venezuela on the brink of the Eighth Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of the Americas (ALBA).
Sanz said that among the agreements is the establishment of a binational mining company between Cuba and Venezuela for gold ore mining as well as a joint venture agreement for the processing of the raw material of Venezuelan aluminum company in the Lenin of Cuba .
"In this latest agreement neither loses countries, by contrast, both won because we increase the production capacity of Cuba and processing of our raw material that can be sold in international markets, as well as meet internal demands both countries, "he said.
He stressed that joined these companies were signed nine contracts that trade between the studies found for the mineral quartz Venezuela, as well as expanding the mill Sidor and one for the contribution of the expansion of the Cuban mining company will increase the production of building materials which will be marketed in both countries and Central America.
"It is not just an issue of trade, but to generate production, increase productivity, create jobs and ultimately continue to generate social welfare of the inhabitants of both nations," he said.
Alba foreign ministers will meet Saturday to discuss the committee documents derived from political, social and economic, that suggest new strategies for the revival of regional integration mechanism.
