Venezuela has 100 billion coltan for dollars

January 15, 2010, 18:59 Caracas, Jan 15 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela has a preliminary reserve of 100 billion dollars in coltan, a mineral used in strategic and superconductor technology, from cell phones to spacecraft, reported today by President Hugo Chávez .

"We could have a giant," said Bush in his annual report to the nation submitted to the National Assembly, during which he said is still relevant scientific studies are done.

He said that in 2009 were detected illegal mining of coltan and the illegal export to Colombia, after which it was first made tracking air and then took control and installed a military unit in the area.

Chavez said the price of coltan in the world market is higher than gold and diamonds and some of the enormous mineral wealth of the country that allow you to face the future with optimism despite the international crisis.
