The whole community of Sierra Imataca Casacoima in the municipality of Delta Amacuro happily ever saw the start of construction of the ballpark, that's been passed about nine years and only the skeleton of the grandstands to get many children, youth and adults who must use their spaces for sports.
The project has stalled for nearly a decade and how little was done in his time has been lost in negligence. The structure of the stands are just bars after years at the mercy of the rain and the sun are now eaten by rust. The roofs of these steps, as well as lighting, never existed

The fencing has been falling behind almost everything and one of the soccer goal neighbors knocked them to use that area as passage of vehicles. In the changing rooms and bathrooms are known only the pillars of the walls, as neither were made septic tanks.

Under these conditions the "stage" of Sierra Imataca home to children from preschool age to adults who have no other spaces must adapt to these shortcomings.

Working for their rescue

In late January a group of athletes and coaches of the community came together to form the committee of the sporting prorescate Sierra Imataca and El Triunfo, which organized a radiothon last weekend to raise funds with which to start work for the recovery of the stadium and another in the same municipality.

Jose Castillo, a member of the committee, reported that managed to collect 4000 B F, which begin with the installation of septic tanks (probably this weekend) for the bathrooms, supported by labor itself. With this activity the Mayor also managed through Casacoima Sports Institute, will donate 6 million in construction material.

"All we heard all this time were promises, as we gather to work for these scenarios," Castillo said, adding that hope this initiative encourages regional and governmental authorities give them the help they so desperately need and that many people benefit. "We support orphans," he said.

Many would be the beneficiaries

Castillo explained that several times a week in this space a group of over 40 small-kindergarten in the same industry-are taught baseball and football kickimbol; attacked by the harsh sun and no places to take shade, and many of them running around or swaying in the oxidized structure of the stands.

The Castle itself has said baseball school in the afternoons, which brings together some 140 children from the category Prejunior PREINFANTIL up. Kickimbol also practiced, male and female softball, baseball and adult soccer field, so that many voices raised to him of this compound the attention they need and deserve.

They also use their spaces for students of primary and secondary schools nearby.

"This is a call to any state institution to which we need the collaboration that (...) we get children and young people from crime, they are not all day at the mercy of the violence of the streets," sentenced, and what better way to accomplish this goal through sport.

II Festival de Combate

Tomorrow, the Sierra Imataca covered field, a few meters of the ballpark, you're doing the II Festival de Deportes de Combate, announced the President of the Sports Institute Casacoima (IMDEC), Angel Viloria.

In the activity, which will begin at 8:00 am, consider grouping some 300 athletes, from the municipalities Caroni and Casacoima Tucupita.
