Quest I have a pretty good memory for an old guy but even I didn't think to look back over 5 years ago for Fung selling options.
Here is your original email:
" How many KRY shares does RF currently hold? The last time I checked was a few years back and at that time he didn't hold any. He sold options immediately...... if they were in the money. I know I would be more trusting of a CEO who had some skin in the game."
I'm not going to waste my time checking but I would have to guess that since January 2005 Fung has had many more options that have been in the money. He sold 973,000 options/shares over the 6 month period from June 15, 2004 to Jan. 27, 2005 and you base your not trusting him enough on this?
So your comments about you trusting Fung more was based on him selling options over 5 years ago and not having more shares that you have apparently. I don't know if you have 20,000 shares or more but don't really care.
Your overall statement about wanting management to have a strong ownership presence is sound but I think we all know that. It has been a common complaint from those investors who feel it shows company support and belief they have as much to lose as you do.
I'm assuming you bought your share before June 15, 2004 since Fung selling options back then is your cause for concern. Why didn't you sell your shares when Fung took over for Thompson in June of 2008? I have always wondered why people own shares in a company where they don't trust management? I would love to hear your answer.
I have trust in Fung doing the best he can to bring this saga to an end. I'm not worried about how many options he has or shares. I also have more shares than Fung but that is because I believe he is the right guy for the job. I guess RM has trust as well since I think he has around 200,000 shares (from memory).
