I have a history of stating the obvious over at the old forum so let me continue that tradition.
The Vennies don't give a damn about the AGM on June 23rd and/or Fung's need or desire to report something concrete and positive. They never have.
I've read recently on this board that there are members who think something great is going to happen before that AGM. Don't hold your breath.
As someone who has been in this stock since 1999 I can't tell you the number of times we thought, or were led to believe through hype, that because of the importance of good news at the AGM the Vennies were finally going to come through with the promised pot of gold. It never happened and it probably won't happen now, at least not because of the AGM.
If something great does happen between now and the 23rd it's because of that pesky little thing called the mine operating contract and not because Chavez wants Fung smiling at the AGM. If something great does happen between now and the AGM it's because it serves the needs of Venezuela and not us.
As a past president of KRY once said, in the press: They don't know the meaning of the word deadline.
