I was thinking that exact thing. I have to reiterate that political democratic socialism is not a clear cut pursuit. I totally believe the permit will be given soon. However, there still are factions in the VZ Government that will not agree with a 'greedy International Company' (KRY), getting 1/3 of LC, for all but doing nothing. At least that's what they will see. The wheels of bureaucracy go slow at the best of times, but when getting to the point of actually 'REALLY AND TRULY ISSUING THE FINAL PERMIT TO BEGING CONSTRUCTION', well there are still going to be some wanting to thrown a monkey wrench in the works.
As Midasinvz and others have suggested, Chavez will want to get as much as he can from an announcement about this GIGANTIC GOLD DEPOSIT, that has taken 30-40 years to come to fruition. This is not about just announcing an environmental permit.
1. This about the getting the 'Cursed LC Deposit' started...HUGE!
2. getting an actual nationwide PLAN in place for gold extraction
3. getting the gold sales laws favorable to all
4. getting a huge workforce employed
5. countering all the bad press about depriving the poor illegals of their livelyhood
6. being able to have announcve a plan to have plots for small/artisan miners
7. saving face for many who have been in the way
8. getting rid of Venessa
9. AND putting the above all together in a way that garners the MOST political UMPH for our man at the top.
10. ETC. ETC.
Not something that is so easily done.....'cause once this is set in motion, there's no going back........can't see anyway, after the permit is in place, that Chavez or whoever, is going to suddenly say...."Sorry, Oh Great Chinese Benfactors, we've changed our 'mines' "
Not going to happen....so there will be great care in doing this right, for ALL parties.
From what we've gone through? 7 weeks is nothing.
OH, and by the way....WHERE'S MY G*D D#*N $5 A SHARE!!!!!
LOL.......Pen
