Cantjustread is 100% correct. This is NOT a done deal. If it was KRY wouldn't be a 45 cents.
The permit is NOT a formality. We've heard that dozens of times. The "market" is never wrong because the "market" establishes the price not our hopes and dreams.
I DO believe we've got the best chance, at getting the permit this year, than we've had in many years. But ask GRZ about the value of the permit. It was taken away from them for no reason other than politics.
And deadlines.....? In Ven not even Chavez gets what he wants when he wants it.
And what's all this talk about not embarrassing China? If this deal does not go through do you really think anyone is going to blame the Chinese? No....they're going to blame Chavez and China will lose their miniscule investment in KRY.
Their railway will still get built. The oil investments will still go through, the borrowed money will still get lent. The only people hurt by the deal not going through will be the workers expecting the jobs and the investors expecting profits.
If the permit was just a formality why didn't they wait to announce the deal and the permit at the same time?
And regarding Richard Marshall: He's a good man but he's heavily invested in KRY and holds on to every last branch of hope that he can.
I've known Richard for over 10 years and I communicate with him often. If he told you something in an email or on the phone there's no reason you can't share it with others. Richard never tells you something you can't share. He's too smart for that.
The permit could come today or never. It's up to the Vennies, not us and not even the Chinese.
But if the permit comes today I'm ready for the stock to skyrocket. And I've been ready for that liftoff since 1999.
