I was talking about the bigger picture - about government policies in general. Over here, our policios have to look at a very short picture - 3 1/2 years, before the next election. Over there, they have an infinite timeline. So here, Obama has to make sure everything looks nice and rosy by August 2011, or he's toast. Hence the endless money printing, etc. In China, they can wait almost forever to accumulate the recource assets that allows them to dictate foregin policy.

I have no concerns about the China/Ven relationship. In fact it mirrors my beliefs - they have promised enough dough in Vennie, that they have Hugo F**kyourself by the short and curly ones, and when they pull, he has no choice but to jump nice and high.
