mas, while the permit is still the "big news" i think you have to agree that a JV announcement changes the current percieved situation of kry dramatically. IMO it takes them from the verge of BK with little prospect of surviving (or financing arbitration) to a company that has a very strong political/financial partner and gives them many options they did'nt have before....so i guess, in short, i'd have to say that a JV announcement should be good for the PPS....a permit, will be even better...

i think there are three schools of thought right now:

1. the JV goes ahead, china has our back and the mine is brought to fruition (or at least kry can ride chinas coat tails in arbitration/settlement).

2. the whole deal was designed to wipe kry out, take them out of hugo's hair and help the chinese gain even better access to venezuela.

3. the deal falls thru, kry is in a similar boat as before.

it's hard for me to see how a JV announcement could'nt help our PPS. after the history of dis-appointment i dont think anything is baked into the PPS already.
