China and Venezuela materialize new bilateral agreements

The Vice President, Elias Jaua, installed bilateral meeting on Thursday China and Venezuela, where he signed new cooperation agreements and evaluarpn and developing joint projects in areas such as mining, energy, gas, food and agriculture, among others.

At the headquarters of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), in the Countryside, Caracas, attended by Chinese and Venezuelan authorities, among them Vice President of Venezuela encotraba Elias Jaua and Minister of Energy and Petroleum Rafael Ramires.

The meeting finalized a first disbursement of U.S. $ 4 billion for the completion and review of the most important among which are those related to agribusiness, power, basic industries and mining, oil and energy and science and technology.

These projects, some new and some already started, aim to be completed within approximately 3 years

Speaking to reporters on Vice President Elias Jaua emphasized that this is the most important investment in the history of the relations of both countries for their scale and their vision for development.

He described the results of this meeting as reliable, based on a policy of respect for sovereign and independent, "without having to ask permission from anyone to relate to countries that agree to Venezuela."

"Achieving funding sources for economic development with direct consequences for the development of employment (...) Venezuela is heading to its full development", so "we have allies like China for the construction of a new destination," said Jaua.

Finally, he supported the Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro, who on Thursday presented a peace plan to resolve the rupture of relations with Colombia.

"The Bolivarian Government continues to work on the structural development of the country at the time that Venezuela is attacked by the international right," said Venezuelan Vice President.
