Yep... If I had 40cents for every person that said that to me in the past 10 years....

Crazy but, true story:

10 years ago a major client of mine was doing infrastructure work in Ven. for about $100 million, out of the blue the Bank doing the finance wanted 1 % fee for Political Risk Insurance. the ceo flipped out, and called me to review. I told him to check the original Finance Commitment, and if it was there... and it was, he was out of luck..

I remember expressing an opinion that was pretty expensive and possibly excessive....
