Message: Today's Market - Hump Day

On NYSE - KRY sp took a bit of a hit yesterday. Thought sp would maybe maintain 0.4300, and boy, was that a streatch. The Market (Spec players in this case) apparently dislikes uncertainty and the few and infrequent PR's do not help. This may or may not be intentional to allow the, "Players of Choice," to get in or out. There should not be too much surprise on the lack of PR's as the Q reporting goes without any hint of when - until the day it is announced. News with this play, or lack thereof, usually takes several days before it gets to those who might be concerned and make their move, so yesterday's sell-off seems somewhat predictable. Yesterday's volume of half a million is not yet everyone running for the hills. Probably some Spec portfolios redistributing, because there are plenty of good plays out there. Daily Technicals have gone Bearish, including OBV. 15min techs are kinda-sorta Bullish, but peaking at this time. Current volume at 40k'ish. This just in from the "Kitty-in-a-Basket Newswire" - Volume up.

S&P seeing another decent / good open and settling to flat at this time. Market is being driven by news. 60min techs say today will be red. Couple of banks and the Telco's seeing some continued profit taking, but pretty much a sea of green out there thus far, but momentum is a tough thing to stop. Hope there are more than a few here who benefitted from Priceline's strong Q. There are lots and lots of very good plays out there, so pick and choose wisely, do your DD, and stay diversified. High yielding plays can cushion the rough days. Slow and steady will win the race.

Gold making a run above 1200. Why? Market has good news and gold runs with it. Could it be those pesky Friday unemployment numbers? Only Two Olympic sized pools full of gold for the whole world must be the driver...
