Crystallex International Corporation is a Canadian-based gold company with a successful record of developing and operating gold mines in Venezuela and elsewhere in South America
RedRock, I meant "minor" interest. I think too many people here see our JV as sitting in a vacuum, with no concern about what is happening at the national level. China and Vennie are doing a whole bunch of deals to provide Chavez with money, and to provide China with resources.
There's no doubt that China is a net buyer of gold, both nationally and at retail. But I think oil is by far the bigger prize right now. China's economy is still growing rapidly, and it needs oil now. And for Chavez, if he has any interest at all in his people, having a pile of roads, dams, and railroads pop up in a short period of time will do far more for public morale than opening a mine in the jungle. I just don't believe that LC is at the top of anyone's agenda right now, except for KRY.
I am sure LC will go forward, I just don't think KRY has anything to do with the timetable. As long as other, larger parts of the economy are being divvied-up by Vennie and the PRC, I am afraid there is still room for some capriciousness amongst the big shots at the top.
All of this is just my opinion, nothing more, and I would love to see some positive announcement, real quick.
