dparge... err, no. You own your home, but you don't own what's in the ground under it unless you have staked your property and claimed those rights. If somebody discovers oil, gold etc. on your neighbor's property and they stake a claim which includes the land your home sits upon, guess what?... you will be paid FMV for your property and then you will have to move. I have way over-simplified the process, but that is generally how it happens.
