Chinese Technical Committee will support projects for the exploitation of gold and aluminum
Caracas, 10 Oct. AVN .- The President of the Republic, Hugo Chávez Frías, said on Sunday that a committee of experts in various areas of mining, from the People's Republic of China, is in Venezuela to provide technical support in the design of various aluminum and gold projects.

"They come to work with us to cooperate in the technical design aluminum projects and Siderurgica del Orinoco (Sidor)," Chávez announced on his Sunday program Alo Presidente, number 365, held at the José Rafael Revenga Municipality , Aragua state.

The commission will visit on Monday 11 Sidor facilities and will also establish working groups with 22 representatives of different companies that are interested in developing several projects related to mining and technological adaptation.

Venezuela has about 30,000 billion in proven gold reserves and important deposits of coltan and other strategic minerals for the development of the country, and China provided technology support for the exploitation of these resources.

"Venezuela has become a major strategic ally of the PRC," he said.
