I think this (being paid in worthless dollars) is a non-issue presuming, of course, that the Crimex\LBMA fraud and corresponding lack of physical gold doesn't reach critical mass before we close the deal. If you own KRY on the AMEX, simply sell and buy physical or investigate purchasing shares on the Toronto exchange. When you sell, you'll simply receive more dollars than you would if you sold in a stronger currency (courtesy of the exchange rate).
