Belarus and Venezuela signed agreements in mining and industry Caracas, 18 Oct. AVN .- Caracas, 18 Oct. AVN .- Venezuela and Belarus on Sunday signed six new cooperation agreements, mainly in mining and industry, during the visit of the president, Hugo Chávez, to that European nation.

Among the agreements include a commitment to record the acquisition of a production line for welded mesh, referred to by the Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia, Oceania and the Middle East, Temir Porras, during a ceremony broadcast by Venezolana de Television (VTV).

Said Minister of People's Power for Basic Industries and Mining, Joseph Khan, who is a new production line will use the rod, a raw material generated in the Alfredo Maneiro Siderurgica del Orinoco (Sidor).
