We have read, Chavez/VZ has a plan for gold mining that involves the displaced miners ( a very large group by now ). The Caura Plan will have a great need for trucks to haul the small miners ore somewhere. At some point I would imagine it will be to the new mine at LC. For now tho', the ore will have to go somewhere, and it will involve a lot more transport than when the 'illegals' were handling the ore themselves.

As I've said before, I believe that Chavez/VZ will have to announce work for VZ miners first, or at least at the same time as announcing any deal for the large scale development of LC.

I rather like the idea that Chavez will announce the opening of several areas to local miners, and that he has 120 large trucks coming from Belarus to support them. He will then announce an agreement with China to develop LC, which will mean the hiring of 1000 workers in time for Christmas, and he may also announce a deal with VenRus, to open a Kaolin mine near Las Brisas.

Whatever he announces, one would think by now that it could very well be what the government has been working on for some time.

We can only hope that it actually results in action, rather than just more promises.
